
Terms and Conditions of Use

The transporter shall not be held liable for damages or losses unless proven due to negligence.

All cargo must comply with customs regulations of the respective countries.

Payment terms as agreed in the transportation contract. Payment for our services shall be made as follows: 70% before goods are loaded for transportation, and 30% on collection of goods at destination.

All goods shall remain in our custody until all fees for our services are paid in full. Goods not paid for within the stipulated period will be sold to recover transport and storage costs.

Insurance coverage is the responsibility of the shipper unless stated otherwise.

Cargo must be accurately declared by the shipper- All goods must be accompanied by invoices & packing list.

The Client hereby indemnifies Servex against all liability and any claims of whatsoever nature by any Person in respect of:

Any loss or damage to Goods or injury to persons or loss of life from whatsoever cause.

Any loss or damage resulting from non-delivery or incorrect delivery.

Any loss or damage on grounds of breach of contract or negligence, howsoever arising.

Any loss or damage arising from loss of market or attributable to delay in forwarding or in transit or failure to carry out fully or in part any instructions given to it or for any other consequential loss howsoever arising.

All goods are declared as per invoices at points of entry.

All restricted goods must be accompanied by the necessary permits.

All goods must meet the set quality by the Bureau of Standards from country of origin.

SGS inspection should be arranged for bulk transport of goods by the importer.

Servex has the right to open up all goods should there be any doubt on consignment.

Servex cannot be held accountable for damaged goods that had not been packed properly by ourselves or by the client incase of any damage.

Servex has the right to choose the packing agent for household goods or any other furniture during relocation.

Undeclared goods for (3) months shall be sold without contacting the owner to recover the costs of transport.

Servex insurance only covers goods in transit.

Servex shall not under any circumstances be held liable for goods being held by customs officials.

Offloads and pick ups are only permitted at points of departure and point of entry ( destination warehouse). Offloads and pick ups are not permitted for goods in transit.

Specific arrangement must be made at Servex offices for last mile delivery.

Customs officials have the right to inspect all consignments at the border points.

All goods remain at the care of Customs until they have been cleared and released. Servex shall not be held responsible for any border delays.

Servex will not be liable in any way for goods transported under false pretences.

Once the goods are in our warehouses they remain in our possession until they have been transported to their destination.

No person will be allowed to collect goods from our warehouses on behalf any other transporters operating within our routes of operation.

All transported goods are to be collected within (7) days after arrival at our warehouses, storage charges shall accrue for goods not collected within that period.

Servex has no powers to overrule Customs or Bureau of Standards regulations.

Servex only facilitates the movement of goods, payment of duties, inspections and payment of taxes at points of entry.

Servex officials or its employees will not in any case be involved with procurements.

Servex officials and employees are not allowed to collude with clients to ship goods or lend services without company's knowledge.

Servex does not transport any goods that are prohibited or restricted in their countries of destination.

Servex does not transport; human body parts or organs, animal remains, bank notes or coins, precious stones or any kind of precious jewelry, ivory or animal organs of endangered species, drugs, explosives or flammable substances and compressed gases.

Servex does not transport seeds that are not accompanied by permits from the cereals board.

All clients/customers shall be required to liaise with management through our official communication channels in case of any issue arising and shall not under any circumstances raise any issue through social media or any other public forum.
